Reviews Product reviews
With our standard review system, real customers can rate your shop. These site reviews are primarily about the service of your shop and how customers experience it. Besides these regular site reviews, we also offer product reviews! Currently these are available for WooCommerce, Lightspeed, Shopify, Magento 2, Shopware, PrestaShop and CCV Shop
Product reviews are reviews from customers specifically about their ordered products. These reviews are displayed directly on your product page in your shop. In addition, you can also create a feed that can be used for Google Shopping ads, for example, and stars are also shown in Google searches! A highly desirable feature for members who want to get the most out of their products!
The advantages of product reviews
- Higher conversion.
- Stars in Google search results and in Google Shopping.
- Fewer returns.
- Automatic request for product reviews after purchase.
1. Higher conversion
Consumers have many uncertainties when making an online purchase. Product reviews provide social proof that a product is good and what the lesser features of a product are. This gives consumers more confidence in their purchase and increases the conversion rate of your online store.
2. Stars in search results and Google Shopping
Is someone searching for a product in Google and finds your product page? Then our product reviews ensure that stars appear with that search result. The review score of the product is adopted by Google.
Do you also advertise in Google Shopping? Then you can use our Google Feed to display the yellow stars with your products there as well.
3. Less product returns
In product reviews, negative features of a product are also mentioned, that's not a bad thing! Every consumer knows that a product also has negative features. By knowing these properties a consumer orders the wrong product less often and is more satisfied with his purchase. It can also cause a consumer to actually buy a more expensive product that does not have the mentioned negative characteristics.
4. Automatically asking for product reviews
At WebwinkelKeur, collecting product reviews takes place within the normal review form. Instead of just asking for a site review, the consumer now also has the option to review his product. This means you don't have to bother him with yet another request for a product review, as consumers can find too many such requests annoying.
Continuous development
The trustmark and review system of WebwinkelKeur is part of one package. Product reviews are an optional extra service. You pay for these in advance, quarterly or annually depending on the payment period of your membership. This amounts to about 10 euros per month extra for your account. Currently, this feature is only available for WooCommerce, Lightspeed, Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento 2 and Shopware and can be activated within your WebwinkelKeur dashboard. We hope to offer reviews for products for more webshop software users in the future. Since we have to build an appropriate link for each software that connects seamlessly, we are happy to take our time for this development!
How product reviews work
If you want to use product reviews, you must first activate this additional service within your dashboard. You activate this service for your entire account and all shops within your account. You do this by going to > Reviews > Product reviews. Once activated, you can start collecting product reviews! Your customers will then also get the chance to review the products they ordered within their regular review invitation. The order of a review is as follows: a regular review first, then they will be asked to review the ordered products. Customers can write a story under each product and give each product 1 to 5 stars. These reviews are then saved within your webshop and in your WebwinkelKeur dashboard.
Your dashboard, webshop and Google:
When you have activated the reviews, order data will also be retrieved with a review request. Within the order data we look for a GTIN (EAN), which is important for Google. Our plugin can sometimes detect this automatically (based on supported plugins) where you have it, in case of WooCommerce you can also select where we should get the GTIN from (i.e.; where you have it).
Your reviews are stored with us. You can see them as part of the webshop reviews in which they are given, as a separate review on the 'product review' tab in your dashboard or via their own review url. The reviews will also appear on your website. Within the dashboard you can also create a feed.
Create a feed for Google
When your first product reviews have come in through us (in your dashboard), you can create a feed. The review data in a feed for product reviews are linked to products based on a number of factors. Globally Unique product IDs such as GTINs (global trade item number) are most important for this. If no GTIN data is available, Google tries to link reviews based on other metadata, such as SKU, product URLs and combinations of brand and MPN (manufacturer partnumber). These ids typically do not provide a good link. This means that without a GTIN, you may not see star ratings next to the products you offer. It is therefore important to give the GTIN a logical place with your product information so that our plugin can find it easily.
